Vencedores do Eisner Awards 2010

Beasts of Burden

A graphic novel Asterios Polyp foi a mais premiada da edição 2010 do Eisner Awards, cujos vencedores foram anunciados na noite desta sexta-feira em cerimônia na San Diego Comic-Con. O trabalho de David Mazzuchelli ficou com três estatuetas: melhor álbum gráfico - inédito, melhor escritor/ilustrador e melhor letreirização.

Outros nomes foram citados mais de uma vez na premiação: o de J.H. Williams III, por seu belo trabalho com a Batwoman na série Detective Comics (que começa a sair no Brasil este mês); Beasts of Burden, minissérie de Evan Dorkin lindamente ilustrada por Jill Thompson; a graphic novel A Drifting Life, autobiografia do japonês Yoshihiro Tatsumi; a coletânea de luxo Absolute Justice, de Alex Ross; o escritor da Marvel Ed Brubaker, em especial por seu trabalho com o Capitão América; e, também da Marvel, a elogiada adaptação de O Mágico de Oz por Eric Shanower e Skottie Young.

Naoki Urasawa, de 20th Century Boys e Pluto, e o álbum francês My Mommy Is in America and She Met Buffalo Bill (de Jean Regnaud e Emile Bravo), que tinham várias indicações, acabaram ficando sem troféu.
